Camborne took an early lead with a quick try on the wing, 0-5. Price had a break and took a run down the wing. A Camborne line-out was won but they lost possession and found themselves in their own 22 with Teigns in possession. Camborne had another line-out which they won and kicked to gain territory. The ball was picked up by Avery and passed out. However, the ball was soon lost and Camborne scored again, 0-10.
Avery had possession and made good ground and possession went between the 2 teams however a penalty to Camborne gave them a line-out which they won that gave them a converted try, 0-17.
Camborne kicked for touch from a penalty but missed giving Teigns possession, however the ball was ripped to gain back possession in Teign’s 22. They made it to the line but the ball was held up to give Teigns a goal line drop out. Camborne had possession again and a great tackle from Sutcliffe prevented another Camborne try. Teign’s won their line-out in home corner, however the ball was turned over and Camborne went out to their wing and scored, 0-22. Camborne scored 2 more tries before half time bringing the score to 0-34.
The game continued and great defensive tackles were seen from Price, Sutcliffe and Avery, however Camborne continued with their scoring streak, 0-41. But Teigns did not give up and a penalty taken quickly meant Camborne were not back 10 so Teigns kicked to touch and won their line-out. Teigns scrum was won but the ball was lost on play but quickly gained back by a penalty. With Teigns in possession with a knock-on advantage they saw the opportunity they had been looking for, try for James, 5-41.
Despite some great defensive work, Sutcliffe making another good break and showing great footwork they were unable to get over the try line again and Camborne gained 4 more tries brining the final score to 5-63.
